Excited to say I finally have bought a 200. My uncle used to have one when we were kids and I always wanted one. I am not a farmer but will use it to mow our property and restore one day. It seems to be in pretty good shape but has a few issues. Needs an alternator and tach cable. I think a few of the injectors are leaking. New seals? Washers? It seems to run well but I hear zero turbo whistle even with a wore out muffler. Anyway, glad to be here.tractor1_2018-10-19_17-56-37.jpgtractor_3.jpg

Injectors don't usually leak. It's the valve cover gasket.

I replaced the alternators on both of my 200s with one wire alternators but after going through matching up the right gears for the tach drive I would recommend getting yours rebuilt if all the parts are there. Is it not charging? Or is it missing the gear drive for the tach cable?

Just be aware that after the valve cover leak is repaired, it may still appear that there is a leak until the oil that leaked from the valve cover quits working it's way out from around the injectors.

The prettiest grill Allis ever made graced the front of 200.

The bearing sounds terrible, where can I find a rebuild kit. I haven’t found one yet.

As stated, folks think they have leaky injectors but it turns out to be cover gasket leaking into injector hole. Try it and see.

X3 on the replacement of the valve cover gasket. My XT was doing the same thing. A good steam cleaning will clean it up if you have one available to rent. Local dealer allows me to use his for $25. Does wonders on all that oil and grease especially with some Purple cleaner soaking for 15 minutes helps also. 200 was a good tractor. Stilll a lot of them in my area.

Steam Jenny is the common name. Too expensive to buy unless you have a large operation with lots of equipment or have a repair business.
