I have enjoyed the posts and pics on this forum for the past few years. Thought i would share a pic of our small collection. We have had Allis Chalmers on the farm for as long as i have been around. These two for the past thirty years or so. The D17 IV has never had an issue. The D19...lets just say has been a roller coaster the past three years but is back on line. They need some paint, but they sure are fun to have around.

Great looking tractors! Good condition and good rubber. Ready to work! Thanks for posting. Having a 17 now myself, I really wished we had one when my dad was farming. Would have made a great tractor for his dairy/ crop farming.
That is a good sized brush hog on the 19! Nice ground you have too.

Thanks, Chris. The 19 seems to play with that 10' cutter...until i get into some river bottom tall reeds canary..then it will give it a work out. Very pleased with the clover in the background considering the extreme drought. The farm has been in the family since 1852 and enjoy keeping it cleaned up.

The paint looks pretty good to me. I think the D16 III & IV's are the best looking Allis tractors made.

Agreed. Love the D17 IV. Have read many posts about mounting a front pump to the D19 for live hydraulics. Could be a winter project.

What issues have you had with the D19?

Other than the money for the parts, mounting a front pump on the D19 really is worth it. Two of mine have a front pump, so if you have questions I might be able to help.

Mostly, self inflicted neglect. Had to split it to repair the clutch, governor issues, carb, starter...it has a diesel starter which is evidently made of gold..but got it rebuilt, sediment in the gas tank caused issues. Could only work on it once a month when i had time. But, did not want to give up on it for sentimental reasons. Any assistance on the front pump would be great. Thanks, Travis.
