    Posted: 24 Nov 2017 at 12:54pm
I bought an 8010 last year with the dash throttle.  I'm working on converting it to console throttle.  I found the console throttle and linkages at a salvage yard and I am getting ready to order the cable.  after looking at my 8050 which has the console throttle I noticed that the bracket that the bell crank fastens to on the 8050 is not there on the 8010.   there is also a fork bracket that the throttle cable hooks onto that is missing as well.   Will I need to fabricate these and weld them on?  I'm just curious if others have had this problem in the past and what has been done.

Also, I assume I will just abandon the traction booster?  I only use this tractor for planting and baling.  Thanks in advance.  Derek

I wanted to post an update in case anyone has to do this going forward.  I used my 8050 as a pattern.  I had a local machine shop bend the bracket for the bell crank and I made the cable mount bracket.  It was a pain in the but getting it all lined up correctly and welding it in the cab, but it works like it should.  I should also add that I got the throttle linkages from Northside salvage

Nice conversion! Wondering if you have the ambac pump or the roosamaster pump?

Didn't all 8000's have Ambacs?

I’d have to go look but I believe the 301s had the Roosa even in the 8010. Our 50 and 70 both have ambach

Do you run the remote outlet relocation levers in all 3 8000 series tractors? I think I looked at the ones in your 8050 when I was there. Could you post some pictures of those?

Yes. We have them in all 3. I will have to remember to take a pic tomorrow. That’s the only negative on an 8000 series is the remote lever location.

Early 8010s had the roosa. Later ones had the ambac.
