I think that the final drives are usually spun 180 degrees, and the left is switched with the right so the brakes work right.

That is what I have heard, someone else that has done it will probably chime in here soon....

That's what I was wondeing if when I turn the finals if they need to be switched side to side as well. Then the question of the brackets/seat rails come in. Do those just get put on upside down also??...

I am not sure, I had a page bookmarked that someone else on here had posted their 'slammed Allis B' (as he called it), but he has removed all the pictures so it might not help as much... but here is the link anyway....Slammed Allis B

I wish you the best of luck....Wink

I saw a low rider B at the show near Madison SD a few years ago. I just found 4 pictures of it on this computer. Looks to me like the front axle was turned upside down, and the rear drop boxes were turned 90 degrees, turning 180 would probably get the belly dragging on the ground. I'm sure I've posted  these pictures on this forum before.

Okay, only 90 works for me, 180 might have a few ground clearance issues Smile

I lowered my B all the way. I have tons of pictures I can text you if you would like. Or if you would like to talk on the phone that's fine as well.
Send me a PM

Final drives get flipped 180 degrees and left to right so the brakes face forward. I welded on a small section of 3" angle iron to the NEW top of the final drive for the seat brackets to mount to. Seat still stays on top.

just make sure there's only one instance of the  http://
as it already appears to the left of where you are inserting the link.

BTW, has anyone made or seen a lowered AC model other than the B ?
Given the final drive design, it looks feasible for many of them.
