Great looking tractor, I would suggest changing the oil, the filter looks a bit old.

Congradulations, I remember my first D17, I was so excited I couldn't sleep that nite, that was a BIG tractor compared to an RC, WD, & WD-45, my Dad told me I was crazy & didn't need that on 3 acres...Harvey

Nice looking D14!  Even has the cultivator tidbits that always get separated with the tractor.  I haven't been to see Bill B. in a while, he's a fine fellow for sure.

it needed some "encouragement", It was suggested those were cultivaltor brackets, is that special weldment around the coupler spring?

I gotta find out if is 6 or 12 before I fry something trying to start

It looks like it still is also, it runs, seems ok. I have carb off soaking to rebuild and it needs a manifold. I unhooked generator and started it on fluid, not getting much gas. I will switch it over to 12 just because I do not want only 1 6 volt system and forget it is if something every needs jumped or charged by me or someone else.

Looks like an "Honest" old tractor. Looks like that might not be the original engine. It's paint doesn't match the rest. Great find.

The engine may be original by the way the paint looks mismatched, It's going to get a narrow front. I sold that before I bought it. My neighbor has wanted one for his Grandpa's since we moved here(22 years).

I'm pretty bummed out this morning, I'm ready to put the carb back together, but.... I guess I better get rid of the grinding noise and bad brakes in my wifes jeep, I already bought rotors. I guess the big picture was buy the rotors do it myself and still save $$$, one of them may be saveable and I'll drop off sometime to turn. It was nice on my catering route, I just dropped off rotors and drums and traded for lunches and always had ready to go parts on the shelf.

thanks,  the coil is neg. to dist. so someone has changed to 12 or replaced wrong I suspect both options.... I guess I need check generator and reg. numbers and see if it is 6 or 12. I will be rewiring completely.

I like the D14's..... mine looks good sitting under the carport up by the road. Amazing what happens when I mention where I live to people around Grafton: "Oh, the house with the orange tractor by the street!" Instant recognition. Enjoy yours, bigfish!
