ac 6140. can't get the splitter to hook up and work. ran ok the day i got it,but had a hell of a time hooking the hoses to the remote. finally got it and it split fine. been trying since-no luck. some info: relieved pressure on the hoses. cleaned the remote balls. no luck. finally bought a complete new remote receptacle. the hoses go in fine and lock as they should. hydr. fluid ok per the dipstick.the lift arms work fine,so i don't believe it's the pump.(???). fluid comes to the hose end and appears to enter the splitter-a small drip occurs when i disconnect the hoses. no luck! i am totally baffled. can anyone help? thanks, art

Got more than one pair of outlets on the tractor? Hoses aren't "cross threaded" into two separate valves rather than one valve are  they? Happens around here with three sets of hoses to connect on tillage equipment. If cross threaded, one valve will try to put oil in with no outlet. Maybe also have connector incompatability- balls and points don't always match up properly to allow oil flow. Also make sure couplers are fully engaged. May appear so but if there is pressure in the system may not be fully connected.

Have you got the remote lever on the tractor shifted in the right direction? If you push oil backwards through your splitter valve it might not work. Try switching hoses around or change the direction of the remote lever on the tractor.

put your hyd lever in the detent postion when hooking up the hoses, whether the tractor is running or not, this will equal out the pressure, if the splitter worked once, it will work again. you probably have an air block in the hose. leave in detent and move the lever on the splitter back and forth a few times, that should relieve the blockage.
