Bought my first tractor a couple of years ago, a WD45. It has wide front end, starts, runs and looks good.  A couple of weeks ago I picked up an AC side discharge hay rake.
I didn't notice at the time (heat of the auction, buying more Orange and all!) that the rake has two hdro lines running to the pump that operates the rake.  I have only one line under the seat for rear attached equipment.  Did I waste my money or can I make modifications to power this rake with this '45?

So your saying your new rake is Hyd. not PTO powered.  I doubt that the high pressure low volume system on the WD45 will run this even if you do plumb a return line.  Hope someone with some experiance with hyd. motors offers some help on this.   JCinPA

I'm kind a guessin that someone must have taken off the PTO drive on the rake, and replaced it with a hydraulic motor drive. In my own opinion, I don't think the wd 45 hydraulic system will run a hydraulic motor. Another thing that may have happened is that if it was a newer model ground driven rake, someone replaced the ground drive with the hydraulic system. Maybe you could change the rake back to the original type drive system.

WD45 will run a hyd motor but just not with much power. Light loads are ok but I doubt it would pull hay rake duty.
