I need to see how the rear roller assembly axle attaches to the bracket. Mine have been molested. The manual is not clear on it. Any help appreciated. Thanks Tracy

All I get with that is sewing patterns.That shaft is either threaded on one end or welded to the bracket.  Tracy

Tracy, I don't have pics, but I redid my deck a few years ago.

The shaft is welded directly to the bracket on the right hand side.  I got my local fab shop to make a new shaft out of stainless steel and cutout all new brackets.  They also welded the shaft to the first (right side) bracket to ensure it was in the correct spot.  That, along with new rollers really tightened things up nicely.

If I recall, you start by taking the nut off the left side, then remove the rollers, spacers, and other mounting brackets.

D series, I know it was welded on one of mine. One had threads on the opposite end. I can't tell by the manual though. I am making new brackets also. A pic of each end would be great if you can. Thanks tracy

Mine is welded on the right, on the left side, just the plain rod end protruding through bracket by about 3/4". I Don't know the history of the deck.

Are the rollers supposed to be lubricated, something was squeaking on mine last I used it.

Notice the adjustment screws on each end of deck.My cream colored decks and orange decks are different.There must of been a change on the tube it goes thru at some time. They are different lengths between the two of them.You guys take a look and see what type is on yours. Tracy Tracy

go on simplicity.com use manual # 990698  will go with the above posts real well and i will bet most of those numbers will cross  i found that # looking for the 540 pto adapter box

There are nylon bushings inside of the rollers.  Are you sure the squeaking was coming from them?

Wait a minute, what is this 540 rpm PTO convert box?
Did that really exist? What is the part number?
Anyone have a picture or drawing?

The only current production implement that I found using 2000
rpm is the BEFCO T30 tiller, 2000 rpm is an option..
