D19 Before and after pictures!

Well,got some updates on the D19....finally done and plow ready!! So the tractor was in really great shape and dad didn’t want to do a tear down and repaint but we went completely over everything and cleaned it thoroughly and dumped all the fluids and just essentially updated some parts. Starting with all new fluids,plugs,wires,distributor rebuild,gen & starter rebuild,new hoses,belts,rebuild carb & fuel pump,new air cleaner assembly,steering wheel,gauges,stainless dash panel,NOS Goodyear 3 rib to match the existing GY 3,new front bearings,muffler,coil,new fuel petcock assembly ,fuel lines removed and cleaned,new side panel,fenders,lights,rebuilt entire seat assembly,total rewire with new wire sleeve and toolbox.I did do a little painting however but not the sheet metal....I just compounded,buffed and waxed that stuff. Descaled the wheels and hubs and painted that stuff.Whew!!! I think that was about it but it sure turned out to be a great running tractor so now on to rebuilding a couple of sets of plows😬

And speaking of plows...I go the 3 bottoms hooked up to the D15 so dad could get dirty.

MD, I thought long and hard on going after that tractor when it popped up in the classifieds.It came real close to coming to Indiana.Looks like it went to a good home for sure.The d19 and d15 sure are lookin good.Thumbs Up

Definitely a great tractor. A D19 was the last tractor my dad bought and used before he retired from farming and sold all his AC equipment at auction (1980). It did a lot of plowing, discing, planting, and harvesting. It handled whatever we had it do. Loved that tractor!
Just out of curiosity and since you are in N.Carolina, did you buy a D15, II this past January, in Ohio?

Thanks y’all I appreciate it and 45 Dave yeah it was luck and I lightly begged the man(can’t recall his name now) to give me at least day to get there and it was a long ride way up in northern OH,beautiful but waaaay up there and if it didn’t work it just be more of a loss for us as he had a few people interested. But it’ll be well cared for sure😬
@ Mash ....I believe dad bought the D15 around Jan and it may have come from OH too but I can’t say for sure.This one I’ve got to get in the shop and pull the rear wheels ,strip and paint silver.

Thought so because I recognized her. He bought it from me (north central Ohio) around January 12 or 13.
When I painted her, I didn't know that the rear rims were supposed to be silver. Have since learned otherwise.
She looks good and ready to work.

Oh ok,small world 😁 Well it’s all good,it sure is purty regardless and you did a helluva job on it.We’ve been mulling over putting duals on it since the wheels have anchor eyes welded on them.But I don’t know,may leave it alone.Dad took the plows off yesterday when he got finished plowing washed it up,put it back in the shop and covered it up....said it was a strong,pulling machine.

 The D19 really looks good for just buffing it! You did a lot to get this tractor ready! I like it!
The D15 with the plows is a sharp tractor also.

Thanks Chris! Yessir it didn’t take too long with the compound and buffer but it turned out pretty good....almost so much I almost bought new hood decals but eventually decided to leave them alone.
