Question for the experts.  What is involved in adding an engine oil cooler to a 180 allis.  I am rebuilding the 2800 engine and adding a turbo and would like the oil cooler.  I understand the water pump is different and there appears to be a factory blockage in the 190s that allow the oil to flow through the oil cooler.   What would be involved in setting up a 2800 factory block to run an oil cooler?  Thanks everyone

The easiest would be get an oil cooler from the K/F-2/6000 series 4 cyl turbo engine and run two heater hoses to it.

That seems like a very sound idea. Could likely be mounted in front of the radiator and would probably provide more cooling capacity than a unit on a 190xt or 200. Where would be the best place to tap into the oil pressure for high and low pressure sides?

The engine oil cooler I am referring to raises the engine oil filter up 2 1/2" to 3 inches and sits right on the existing engine oil filter base. I'd have to make sure there was room for the filter to move up that high ( hood or intake manifold in the way?) but if there is room, a 5/8" heater hose can come from the right side of the block to the cooler and another hose goes from the cooler to the thermostat housing.
