    Posted: 16 Nov 2017 at 6:23pm
I just got in a 190 xt series 3 and I was looking at the 3pt hitch and noticed 2 extra cylinders on it. They bolt to the top some of the lift arms and bolt to the axel housings. Is this a factory option or what is it because now it has 4 lift cylinders? If I can I will try to post pics tomarrow. Any help would be great.

Factory 3 pt. cylinders on a 100 series AC should pin on both top and bottom with 1" diameter pins.

It still has all the factory 3 pt lift on it the cylinders on the bottom are correct like my other 190s but these bolt on the top and when the one is extending on the bottom the one on top is contracting. All the brackets look factory and all have matching orange paint.

70252984 - search this # on agcopartsbooks.com    The late XT and 200.s had an add on lift assist that bolted to your lift arm holes and anchored to the axle brackets that bolted to the axles.   Rare option.

Kyle/Eldon,
Could you post or email some photos showing this option installed on your tractor. A couple months ago I posted a question regarding the 3 point lift capacity of a 190. I had some concerns about a toolbar setup I'm planning to make. Only info I could find was for the 200, so was thinking about this option for my project.  Thanks.

Email me at ejons@Comcast.net and I will send what I have. I currently disconnected the cylinders and took the brackets off the lift arms as I wanted speed and not capacity. I would sell my setup for $500 if anyone is interested.

How much capacity does it add?

I would guess about 80-90% more since the cylinders appear to be about the same size, but they are pushing on the rod side, so you would have to subtract the surface area of the cylinder rod. I'm sure other physics are involved if you wanted to get technical....

For those who have this mounted on their tractor, does the rear face of the platform have to be notched out for this setup to work?
