I have been extremely busy lately and mowing is getting behind. My brother came over today after church and helped me catch up . I rode the D-17 NF with the 6 Ft finish mower and he drove the Ser.IV with the 172 mower we drug out of a fence row last year. I mow a neighbors 1.5 acre patch w. the finish mower and my bro mowed an acre lot that her grandson is supposed to set a mobile home on some day. She pays me a little but I would do it for free. My brother has not mowed with a D-17 in 35 years. He was like a kid in a sand box.
Ser I NF w. Woods 6 ft finish mower ![]() SerIV w. 172 AC Rotary Mower. My brother took his shirt off , hopefully it was far enough away no one will be negativily affected ![]() My elderly Neighbor Rosella Stone and My older brother Bob w. Ser IV D-17 ![]()

Nice to see someone else using their vintage equipment and maintaining it too. I love D17's and hope to buy one soon. Trying to talk the neighbor out of his diesel unit. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing with us all.

That 6 foot woods will make her grunt in the tall stuff. Usually mow in 3rd low when I keep up with the mowing. Turkey Hunting and Busy at work got me behind. 2nd low was the gear of the day and had to grab the PD a couple times Sunday . The NF works good for mowing, rear tires are bald, smaller with no fluid. Tractor is heavier than I should be using to mow grass but this is a flat square lot that just needs to be mowed.Owner is none too picky and compacting soil only helps to stunt grass. No fert. or chemicals.Mow too much as it is,do not need to encourage grass. mainly I just like to use the D-17. Its easier on my back, rides much nicer than my lawn tractor.
