Is there any difference in the two? Exactly the same or minor differences?

There are several different front axles, but it seems the part numbers are all the same between the D14 and D15. I do know that the casting under the radiator/front support is different, as the D-15 is wider.

D14 one bolt thru the slide/frame at either side next to spindle - D15 S2 two bolts, both have second bolt/capscrew either side towards middle of axle in the slotted section of the outer slide frame My D15 S2 has two bolts next to the spindle each side. Pic search on Internet shows some D14 with two bolts, some with one, perhaps special factory order or upgrade over the years using donor axle from a D15 S2????? Early D17 were same, one bolt next to spindle. Later D17 two bolts Perhaps an easy way to identify differences Not sure if second bolt really improved performance

Only early D14s have one bolt on each side of the spindle. Later models after serial 19001 have 2 bolts on each side like the D15. The one difference between the late D14 and D15 is the rear wishbone hanger. D14 uses a flat piece of metal. D15 has a jog in it.
