Break shoe relining advice

I am in the process of replacing the breaks on my Allis 175 and would like some advice. Disassembly went well with only minor challenges and I am at the point of attaching the new break linings to the break shoes.  The new linings do not meet the profile (radius of curvature) of the steel break shoes.  The replacement linings as significantly flatter than required.  How does one reshape the linings without breaking them?  Thanks in advance,

rivet one end, then C-clamp the other to pull down against the steel.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

In case you are interested, I DO reline brakes for a living and most of the material these days is junk...been there, done that! Brittle as heck and wears out very quickly...ask around about that if you want...call me at...314-488-9224, if interested...Rick

Lots of options for brake relines almost everywhere. I think Kentucky Clutch just south of Louisville will do it and they also reline the hand clutch as last checked a few years ago.

I had my hand clutch relined at Brownstown Equipment (Indiana) in 2024.  I'm not sure he really WANTED to do it, but he did :).

Rick has done brake shoes and, back when he did them, clutches for me. If I am replacing brake shoes, Rick is the only one I would consider getting them from.

I know you are going to say that you already have the brake linings. Changing the brake shoes on most AC tractors is a real pain in a low place. Do yourself a favor and get quality shoes from Rick. If you put cheap Chinese brake linings in, you will quickly wish you didin't!
