Pulling the disc and the engine over revved. Throttle lever also moves on its own. Have tractor in my little shop now. Pulled dist yesterday, gov shaft has a lot of play. Book says remove rad next,then gov. Anything else I need to do while I'm in there? Thanks

Inspect for timing gear damage. Fix whatever is broken.

....and I remember MACK saying a nicked or slightly distorted timing gear tooth will cause bad harmonics and lead to another failure....sounds reasonable. Don't cut a corner?
