Is there any way we could enact a survivor inspired tribal council to vote off members who constantly make frivolous posts and try to stir up trouble outside of the political forum? My concept would be that if a member has say 5000 posts or more they would have immunity and the tribal council be made up of members with say 10000 posts or more? Any member could nominate the offending member but the tribal council would have the last say in whether the offending member could stay? I hate to ask for this because I enjoy coming to the forum everyday and reading all kinds of posts but it just seems lately there is a member that is straying from the intent of this forum.

That would likely result in a group think where alternate opinions are not tolerated. There are moderators. There are rules. Use the existing tools available.
An alternative is to have the forum add an "Ignore list" Whenever someone is annoying you - place them on your ignore list and you won't see their posts. Most other forums have this option.

Maybe have a keyword reply, like "SPAM", to 'flag' the post, so the moderators can deal with it ,either manually or the server doe automatically.
It 'should' be easy to monitor for the 'keyword' , and when the server sees it, posted by say 3 or more times, by different guests, then that post is removed.

Some guys seem to just like to stir the pot and start several posts daily to do just that. I ignore the posts they start and ignore their comments on other legitimate threads.

By the way, I ignore some of the posts from guys with huge numbers of posts, too. Some seems to think their political view is the only one that means anything and inject political BS in all their posts.

I just skip over them but the posts take up a lot of space. Reminds me of the kid in class wanting to be recognized and throwing up his hand at every question with "teacher-teacher" notice me I think I have an answer, just may not be the correct one.

we have already gone thru bikes, cars, trucks, gaskets, filters, 2x4 , chicken, pork, beef, bolts, oil, boots, grandkids, covid... among others !
