 Topic: 6080 STERRING TROUBLE.

on my 6080 when I turn to the left it turns the way it should but when I turn to the right I have to turn the steering wheel about twice as many times to turn the wheels, what do you think the trouble is? Thanks Tom.

Mine does that occasionally. Usually when I'm brush hogging and when it's good and warm. If I turn the wheel left the tires wornt turn at all. If you then turn to the right it will work again. Doesn't do it very often though.

Mine is getting worse, I don't know what it is, but I am thinking its in the PS. pump, maybe a bad "O-RING".

I'm pretty sure Mack was talking about the nut inside the steering cylinder, holds the piston to the ram. It gets loose and there is a lot of play in the system. Don't know how to check it other than disassemble the cylinder.

I have similar thing going on to. But I only notice it on the road. Going down road I say it's drifting to the left. But I don't think it's so much drifting is that it takes more of a turn on the steering wheel to pull it back straight then the other direction. But sense IV noticed the issue I see that it's damp around the lower dash like where the clutch and brakes stick through the lower dash. But when I open that cover down there I can't pin point a leak anywhere. Its like not wet but enough to make the metal shin wet and dirt stick. Must be vary small. Does any of you guys see any sign of dampness there. I'm thinking a line leaking
