Got news that my mother in law has metastatic bone cancer. That's what the report from her scan indicates. She had a biopsy of a place on her lung yesterday that showed up on the scan and apparently the bone cancer was on the report from the scan that found the lung spot but she didn't tell us. Danielle and her mama are VERY close so it's going to be rough around here for a while. Just please keep us in mind. We haven't told the kids yet. Dreading that pretty bad. Linda will be 78 on April 15 so I kinda doubt they'll go very far as bad as I hate to say that. She's a faithful woman and prays a lot but she's still scared. I get it. Scared of the unknown with the disease and the unseen of the faith I guess. She had breast cancer about a year or so ago and it was metastatic but, again, she didn't tell us. Had a routine scan in January that indicated her numbers are up and their plan then was "rescan in 6 months". She kept at it until they checked further and found the lung spot and said there's a spot that appears "close to the bone" so maybe it's not as bad as the report indicates. Either way I don't see that any of it will end good

I appreciate the words fellas. She goes to get the official results from the biopsy on Wednesday. Hopefully we're all looking to deep into it

Got a report from the Dr today. They say the lung cancer is treatable and they can "zap" the bone cancer in her hip and kill it. According to the Dr she believes has could be around another 15 years!!!!! We told the girls last night and Evie has had a pretty hard time with it. I don't think Cora really understood. I think she's still a little young. Either way, this is by far better news than we were expecting and I guess about the best we could hope for. God is great!!!

Cancer trhas changed so much in just the last couple of years, especially the hormonal ones( prostate, breast) now with dna sequencing of yhe tumor, they can build an immuno therapy specific for your type on cancer. Doesn't cure of it but stops it growth. DOESN'T MEAN GUYS YOU CAN STOP GUYING TO THE DOCTOR FOR THE ANNUAL PROSTATE EXAM
