Here where I live we've had about a half inch of rain since the first of June. It hasn't done much yet, but I hope we can get a good amount because I want to plow some sod this fall. And we really need to add to grass hay bad.

Still in dire need of rain here. Some early crops in some areas did all right around here, but anything late, and in a lot of places, even the early crops are terrible. I have corn that is everything from pretty good to pretty terrible, all within about a six mile span. Darrel

Here, it has not been dry enough for the last three weeks for me to cut hay.

I have had 130 sheep on 12 acres for the last two weeks and they can't keep up with the grass. |

About 1/4" total since Sunday.  Moist all days between Sunday and today.  I have hay down.  It was not supposed to rain until Monday, according to the weather forecast.  Never trust a meteorologist.

Rains turned on here last few days, consider it a day late dollar short as corn already started dry down. North of here Laddonia and Eolia had brutal straight line winds, hundreds to thousands of acres corn flattened and green, stalks broken off in many fields where that may have toasted any return for those fields.

Beans were just starting to really fill up, rain came at a good time. Edited by DMiller - 15 Aug 2018 at 6:41pm |

Looks like silage being put into bags here. No rain in the past month. Don't drop anything on to the ground. It might disappear down a crack.

Got 6/10" last night, first rain since we got a half inch on July 24th.  Some areas only 20 - 50 miles away have had hail, inches of rain and tornado's.  Had three bad hail storms earlier in the summer but none since late July, hope it stays that way.

FINALLY got some yesterday.  We really needed it!  All the grass in the yard is BROWN, dried up and I don't know if it will come back or not.  The ONLY thing growing is the weeds.  Farther to the north things are good and farther to the south they are great.  It's just in the middle where we haven't had any rain since the end of June.  It looks to be too little too late.  We'll see....  it's worse for me because I am on nothing but sand...
