   Number in casting is SG-252L...

![]() Very similar to something used on the Rotobaler.  A have also larger version with a better number that was used on moldboard plow (??? thats what the master parts catalog says!!) and a Field cultivator..... |

I searchd to and cam up with a archived snippet saying "Don't know what kind it is has # LTP 180 on hub & another # SG252L " The link to that snippet is gone.. I bet it is referencing that same pic and it goes on that plow..  But what the heck would that part be doing on that plow??? |

yeah, it's kind of like a ratchet.  As the wheel turns, a piece of cog slides into the path of the cut outs and then you can see where it would push against the lip until it had to slip into the next one.  I hope that explanation works for you?

Tom, from what I see in my plow book and on my plow, part # SG252L is the inner clutch on a #1 plow. The center hole should be 1 1/2" diameter for the axle to go through. The # N-297A is the hub cap for the same plow. # LTP-180 is a clutch throw out arm on a # 1 plow. You said you have another piece that is larger and if the number is SG 257L then it is the inner clutch for a #2 plow. The hole in the larger piece would have to be a larger diameter for the larger axle. I am looking for part # 300729 which is the outer clutch for a #2 plow. It would have 2 ears stick out 180 degrees from one another.
