dpower,
Nothing wrong with doing it the old way. You just have to have good maintained equipment, and keep the scale of the operation appropriate. Love the pictures. Great looking fleet of trucks too! I had never seen a sheller like that! Regards, Chris

I have just become your biggest fan, you love 2 of the best brands of equipment that I do...AC and Dodge. What an awesome combination. Awesome pictures, very envious of your operation. You definitely dont see many of the old trucks left and you have some nice ones. You obviously take great care of all your equipment. Thank you so much for posting. Worthy of being on a calender for sure.

I am confused, dpower. You clearly have a gleaner with a corn head and a grain cart. But then you talk about picking corn and shelling it. Do you do both. ..? Darrel

We did not pick corn this year since I bought my acreage which had 3 bins on it that we wanted to try out. Still have 8 behlen corn cribs to shell out. Ya the cab over dodge I have only seen 2 in person this one and one in a junk yard. Yes that is a JD corn head on the L2 which works very well. We love Plymouth and dodge and allis chalmers.

The local Ford tractor dealer had one of those cab over Dodges for a very short time. It was when I was in the Army, late 60's - 1970. Was gone when I got home, believe it was involved in a wreck with a woman driver. Great pictures, by the way! Edited by JohnCO - 01 Nov 2018 at 12:53am |

that red cab over reminds me of my Uncle Bill's A100 pickup with a 318. It would burn rubber forever. So I heard. Very rare. Nice equip. Must be fun!

I remember those Dodge cab over units as I worked on them when they were new. Nice to work on as the hood lifted up and both fenders could swing out to the front as they were hinged on each side of the grille. Very good accessibility to anywhere under the hood. Modern manufacturers might want to take a good look at that design!!

GREAT bunch of pics, tractors AND trucks!! Thanks for sharing Jason!!
I know envy is a sin, but,,,,,,,,,,, I'd sure like some of them!! It looks like you take excellent care of ANY of your stuff. Your Dad taught you well. Kudos to you and your brother!! One that I should have kept was a 66 Sport Fury III with a 426 wedge motor, 4 on the floor and was blue......it SCREAMED!! |

Don’t see many 4x4 5020’s either especially in that condition. 160 handles a rake, Tedder, windrower very well. My best friend has one with over 7,000 hours on it. Really nice farm.

Looks like a Minneapolis Moline sheller. Had a distant neighbor that had one back the late 50s and 60s.
