I'm still keeping it orange, just a little different shade of orange...
Has anyone recently had any issues with Woods parts on backorder taking forever to ship I bent a crossbar on my 3240 20' batwing (found a manhole cover in a lot I was mowing as a favor for a neighbor... whole other discussion on how bad luck always happens when you are trying to be nice!) and I ordered it 4 weeks ago this coming Thursday. It still has not shown as shipping from their warehouse. The dealer said this is becoming more and more of a problem with Woods parts since they got bought out this past year (that was news to me about a buyout). He said another local guy got a shaft for a batwing gearbox and ordered it around the first part of May; the shaft arrived in July finally, after calling Woods several times and being assured it would ship "x" date multiple times. The part in question is 52020, which is a $270-something dollar part, so not some dinky little one of a kind shim or something, it is a 90lb piece of steel with about 5 holes and a keyed clamp welded on it. If any of you have one in stock, let me know! Just wondering if this is the new norm with Woods. I have had their mowers growing up, and I never remember a time I had to wait more than a week for a part on one, but if this is how they are going to run their parts, I think I'll be looking elsewhere for my next batwing, and might be looking sooner than I was planning.Hurst
