I used up about 30 years restoring/rebuilding this car from a chassis and part of the original body. This was before the days of the internet! Sold it 15 years ago to the guy who is selling it now. Had a lot of fun building and driving it. No, I'm not about to buy it back!! |

Yes, lots. Actual photos in an album. I have to scan some and put them in my digital files if I can find the time.

Phil, Where did you originally find/buy it?
Alberta does not seem to be the market for such a rich man's car. |

There were two of them around this area many years ago. One was a 1928, the other, the '29 I ended up with. According to folks years ago they were both sold new here. I bought the remains from a fellow I worked with in the oil patch back in the early '70's There were a few expensive cars around this area back in the day. I know of several that were here that have been sold south into the U. S. in later years. Besides the two Stutz, there is a '26 Marmon roadster, a couple of late '30's V12 Pierce Arrows, '30 Cord convertible sedan, Many Packards, a couple of V12 Caddilacs, and a V12 Auburn. Some are still around and others have gone south.

Ted. I sold it because a friend made an offer I couldn't refuse! $$$$. Also, the challenge was gone as it was pretty well finished. My buddies in the hobby said there wasn't enough even for a parts car. I was out to prove them wrong. At that point, I said, "just watch me!! (Hold my Beer!!)This is what I started with along with some loose parts

I had to fabricate pretty well the whole body, including the inside wood frame work, except for the hood and front fenders. Here is a shot of the wood body frame before I made the metal panels. I forgot how much bloody work that project was!! ![]() Edited by Alberta Phil - 26 Apr 2021 at 6:59pm |
