Guys are trimming limbs under the power lines today . Have a Pettibone looking thing with a long retractable boom out the front which has a spinning circular blade on the end . Never seen that before . Thanks

Have any of you seen the helicopters which trim trees along the power lines? Looks like a big chain saw hanging down on a cable from a helicopter. Doesn't look like a job I'd want to do.

Seen the helicopter one. Lands and refuels at our local airport. A series of spinning saw blades on top of each other. I always wondered how they keep it pointed into the limbs.

I always wondered how they keep from pinching the blade. Suppose it's spinning fast enough it's a non issue.

We have the Jarraff here to. Last year they put a younger guy in it and when you start moving along the road bank here with that boom 30 ft in the air is gets a bit tippy. Was pretty funny to watch his face

Suspension on those allows work off Angled Terrain, watching a operator that knows what is doing run one is artistic.

Would love to have one at the farm for a week or two. They use them a good bit around here. Beats the daylights out of the Stihl pole saw I use now.

Saw on their site that they have an used one, a 2014. It's only $66,000.00 Would take a LOT of tree trimming to pay for that baby.... Hubert, I think I'd keep the Stihl.....
