Now that it's warming up it's time to break out some cooler cloths. I'm looking got ideas on good durable work shirts.
What do you guys suggest. I have always worn Dickie's blue button up shirts. They have been great. But lately I've noticed the sizing has gone to pot. I've had some xl shirts for multiple years that fit great. I thought I'd get a couple new ones as a couple of ones were getting tattered. The new xl was not even close. So I ordered a couple 2xl. One fit great almost like my old xl shirts. And the other 2xl was ok. Didn't fit great but it worked.
I've also noticed that with jeans. You buy 2 of the same thing. One will fit good and the other will fit poorly.
I decided to try ariat jeans. The reviewers were good. They said sizing is consistent. What do you guys use for work jeans.
I'm not opposed to spending money as long as the quality is there. I've recently gotten into Carhartt sweatshirts and love the quality. They are a bit spendy but they last

My shirts all come from my neighbor. He prints our logo on them. Good heavy T shirts with a pocket. Jeans come from Tractor Supply, Walmart, family center, just where I am when I need a pair.

Levi for jeans... Cant take too much shirt , gets hot, so i stick with TEE... have to have a pocket.

I like Dickies "uniform" pants because they're durable. Got some I've been wearing for years. They're faded and might have a small hole or two but still together and fit like a glove. As for shirts I go to Goodwill and buy whichever ones look like they'll fit/feel good. I'm rough on shirts so I don't spend much on them. And coming from Goodwill if they don't fit or feel right I can donate them back and really not be out much

For every day work shirt at home I like Key chambry, they come in button up or snap and have 2 pockets. I just picked ups couple at Orscheln's.

Dickie jeans and I don't know what the shirts are. I hate it when your pants shrink after wearing them for a
few years. Got to be some scientific data on that somewhere.

I got on a US made kick some years back, wear Diamond Gusset Carpenter's jeans as fit comfortably and sizing IS Consistent. Heavier Denim than anyone else I have found where I still have some(In Tatters) that I bought close to ten years ago, worked those to death and gone.
I did a Google Search once for US Made Work Clothing, will buy Dickie's T Shirts on occasion but buy Better quality and pay the price for made here for the rest.
Duluth Trading, Gitman, Diamond Gusset, some Carhartt, are a few I use currently and am NOT afraid to spend more to get stuff that does last.

My jeans are all my old good jeans. Probably got 20 pair to use. Last time I looked, I found good tees for a good price at Walmart. I think I ordered a size bigger. Fit loose and have a pocket.

All my shirts & Jeans come from thrift stores my wife love to shop there but the 38 on jeans is something else one make is not the same in all brands

For Work shirts KEY is O.K.--made in Pakistan, though. For bib overalls, KEY Imperial, Liberty, and Pointer Brand. Pointers are spendy but made in USA and available with lo-back detachable suspender-type straps. R. Musgrave

I like Duluth stuff, but I haven’t seen any of it US made. Last shirts I bought from them are made in Vietnam I’ve tried one pair of jeans from there. They’re alright, roomy, comfy, not sure where made.
Lots of Carhartt jeans and bibs over the years. Decent stuff, usually made in Mexico, but there’s a great family owned store here and I like to support them.

I am in the need for new jeans myself, the last pairs I have were from my former employer that was furnished to us, but not anymore. Years ago I had decent luck with Lee, or Wrangler, or Work & Sport from Farm & Fleet. Never was able to find a comfortable pair of Levi’s.
It’s been at least 10 years since I have had to purchase a pair of jeans.

Wrangler jeans from Walmart for about $14 a pair. Wear for good until I get low on work jeans. I wear them out above the knee about 6". Shirts are Tees I get at Menards for free on the rebate program or from the electric coop annual meetings for free. Anything worn out that will absorb oil and grease goes in the truck tool box until I end it's life.

Well,,since I am now the Chief clothes washer, ironer,, folder'er and put'er upper,,I limit myself to a couple of pair of jeans from the Goodwill store or a yard sale if I find the right size. I have never been able to wear T shirts, so it's button down long sleeve flannel shirts for cold weather and cotton for summer wear, and short sleeves if I know I'm gonna be in shop all day and pretty much everything is from walmart. I had to buy 3 new shirts at walmart last week when I run out of clothes while at the hospital and I bought the "George" brand at $12 each and they are nice and a good fit, thing I lik'ed bout them is the "Untucked" cut to them,,they look and feel great,,!! I prolly got a 6' long closet of dress pants and shirts I ain't wore since I was working as that was my daily attire way back then,,,,,,,one of these days I keep saying I'm gonna throw a big yard sale and clean out both of our closets,,,,,  Prolly the garage too,,,!!!

When I worked at Maytag they bought us 'Wear Guard' brand shirts and jeans. Plant closed in 2007, I'm still wearing the shirts, mom has patched them up some but they wear like iron. Someday I'm going to have to search the net for them and get some new ones, at my age one more set should last until I can retire!

 I guess they didn't shock you enough. 
You are going to have to do different as J.C. Penny is header for bankruptcy. The virus helping send it down the road to join Monkey Wards and Sears as use to be.

Mostly Carhart t-shirts and Wrangler jeans for me these days with Wrangler long sleeve shirts in cold weather. If I would lose some weight I have a bunch of BDU pants courtesy of Uncle Sam that I could wear. Bob is correct on the variation in sizing, I have some khaki pants all same brand, labeled same size and some fit great, some are loose, and some too snug to fasten.

Walmart “old glory” jeans wear out fast, especially cheap white pocket liners. Their Wranglers strangle me. Levi jeans are good, but must size each pair. Been having trouble with broken belt loops on about every new brand of jeans??
Walmart - Fruit’O Loom tees seem ok. My older (10-15yr) JCPenny button-down shirts become my work clothing eventually. Z
Older clothes are better quality, so I totally get rummage sale, goodwill, & estate sale if right size can be found.
Rocky boots have been good. Red Wing boots are not good anymore.
