I have a 611 of my Dad's and its been sitting in the shed for the past 3 years and worked fine as far as i know when put away, got it out the other day and got it running, but wont move forward or reverse unless i engage the clutch halfway, then stopped moving completely even with the clutch partway engaged. Any thoughts on what could be causing it?

Check to see that the shaft going into transmission is turning! And you can do this with engine off! Put in gear and turn pulley by hand. If shaft is turning and axles aren't, then it has problem in transmission. Might also check the keys in the rear axle - wheel hubs-rim? But doubt that the're out! As most time hubs-rim are froze tight on axles and you can't remove them!

Check belt tension as well as the path of belt - Is the idler pulley spring attached or stretched ?
If it worked 3 years back - should now unless belt is shot .

Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.
