I am restoring a AC Model D 1250 road grader....I am trying to find out what year it is and if the original color was AC orange or AC yellow??.....

If 1250 is the serial #, its a 1951... Color was likely orange...

All the earlier D graders that I have seen were orange. My 59 is orange but there is yellow below that appears to be primer.
I don't know when the WD45's came out but farm group would know.

A '51 would have same motor as a WD. You can replace it with a WD, WD-45, WD-45 diesel, D17, or D17 Diesel. All bolt right up...

The diesels need the frame extended and the rad moved as well.
