I am looking for part number 178667 (SHAFT, drive) in the transmission group. If anyone is parting out their 720 I would be willing to purchase the entire transaxle. Broken or stripped internal parts are okay just so long as the drive shaft is in good shape. Thank you and God bless.

I don't believe that is an Allis number. Is that a Simplicity number? They are not the same number for the same part.

Would you like one? I haven't been on here very long and not sure how to send a copy? The Simplicity parts list and numbers are identical. Maybe you know a way? Thank you and God bless.

Screen shot from the Simplicity PDF manual I have to aid in visualizing which shaft. Don't think I have an Allis manual but will check later today.

This is the same diagram I have. The following page identifies the parts. The part I'm looking for which is #21. It's called a drive shaft. It's for the rear PTO. It's on the rear of the transaxle which drives the implements that mount to the 3 point hitch. If you would have read my original post you would have known exactly what I'm looking for.
Please people no more stupid questions! Thank you and God bless Phil Hammitt |

Good luck in your quest. Your origial post was vague but anything asked for clarification from you is obviously a "stupid question". Again, Good Luck |
