Gonna replace my pressure tank tomorrow for the well system, my question is once I get all the plumbing done , should I fill the pressure tank with water before putting air pressure to it then drain , or just put air pressure to it , then fill?

Instructions usually come with the tank.
If I remember right, for bladder tanks, you add air until the pressure is 5 lb. below turn on pressure. Then turn the pump on. Dusty

I believe they are already set at the correct pressure. You want the bladder tank to be set lower than the pump shut off switch is. I just put one in and the pressure in the bladder tank was preset at 37 psi and my switch on the pump is 40 psi.

my tank came pre-pressurized years ago. I remember the well co kept checking the pressure and kept releasing air from it.
