I built my own out of 4" driveshaft tube, using the back plate from origonal muffler as patter for mounting to engine. I used a vertical tube to attach a IH 10/14 tractor muffler .
The muffler for the 2-71 generator is round unit and on one machine i sold that was muffler on it , worked good also.

I am in Western Australia. We have a wheat farm. There are a fair few AC s over here, I guess the USA exported a fair few machines over here. Parts are getting harder to come by. I am looking for decals at the moment. |

well i might as well join in the Aussie group too, hi Derek I'm in WA also ,not sure what you mean with a fair few AC here , i know of a few and there is/ was some dozers also, tonystractors will remember someone down south was chasing parts for a AC grader at one time which if i remember tony found for him,, i have put some videos on here from Glenvar to show that the WA (that's West Australia not Washington state, for the U.S people) farms aren't small family sustenance farms

I have seen a home built and it was rectangular.Never saw it being used so do not know if not being rounded makes any difference or not.
I have added new skin to the one on my tractor several times. Of course it ends up being bigger each time. Out of room to do this again so next time will have to do it right like you have done it. |
