Im parting out a 51 or 52 WD. Has the late style wide front but the engine is stuck. Don't seem to have much interest in it whole so parting it out seems to be the way to go. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction on what some of the major parts are worth? I usually deal in the newer allis tractors and haven't watched the market very close on older ones lately. I figure the front end, sheet metal and snap coupler parts are the main items? Thanks.

I have ten apart and on the shelf with no sales. Seems every week someone else is parting their tractor. A fellow near me decided to part his also. Sold one rear wheel and the rest is sitting there for a year. I have started to clean my shelves and put it in the scrap pile.

I'd think there'd be some demand for the wide front. Perhaps the wheels if they aren't rusted out.

DAG NAB IT LON!!! You CAN'T scrap it....... those things are NOT made anymore.
You figure out what scrap is worth, how much you have and I'll save the other half for you. Put it all on a trailer and take it to Hutch and sell fro scrap price,,,,,you'd make some pretty good $$$$ |

TED: All that it takes is a road trip. What you have to do is leave home with an empty trailer and your pockets full of money. By the time you get back home you can have a loaded trailer and empty pockets 😸 |

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Ted has been here and had a first hand look. I saved two tractors this winter but still have 20 tractors in parts on the shelf. The shed is full and I won't leave it outside. Going to save parts I might use, sell what I can.

I have the wide front, fenders, rad, and grill sold. Plan on pulling the hood, tank, snap couplers and odds and ends like the starter ect and will probably haul the rest off. Don't have room to keep all of it, and like you guys said, just not much demand for most of it anymore.

Unlike something like the old Fords things on a WD rarely break so people don't need parts.

Sold a WD45 in 2000 to a fellow in Texas. He said the same thing, no Allis stuff here. We stay in contact almost weekly since then.

Well Lon, I've got to tear into both of my C's and one CA this spring for sure. One C I already have a new radiator for which (as far as I know) is the only problem it is supposed to have. It's got an under belly sickle mower on it. I HOPE that's all that's wrong with it. The other C I've got parts from Ken in TX and am crossing my fingers on that one. The CA is a WHOLE nother thing. We'll see when I get it split.
![]() PaulB, if I buy a trailer and go anywhere, it will be to come out by YOU!! With a stop or 2 along the way.... ![]() |

Approximately 146,607 WDs manufactured, I believe they are getting a little thin. Putting a wide front on mine, it will be my first wide front A/C 😀
