I just purchased a WD 45.  oil pan was full of water.  tore engine down and found cracks between cylinder sleeves at top and bottom.  Any way of repairing or do I need another block.

It is probably repairable, depending on where you live, but I'd bet the cost for six places of repair would be more than a good used block.

They put the block in an oven and weld (braze) the cracks and then re-machine everything when done. Not cheap and very few places can do it. They also weld up cylinder heads.

that's what I'm thinking  Think I would be wasting my time if I cleaned block and tried jb weld on top and bottom of bottom web

There is absolutely no structure to J.B. Weld. The block will still open and close at those lower cracks as temperature and load changes. A total waste of time.

Oh yeah, that sounds.... very specialized and difficult. Can't imagine the size of the oven nor how exactly they pull this off. However, nice that they can still salvage the blocks.
