I am wiring up my CA and have purchased an electronic cut out for the generator. I am wiring as original with 6 volt positive ground. My question is do you hook the + terminal on the cut out to the ammeter or the generator?

terminal that says BAT on the cut out goes to the ammeter. I just ran into this putting my CA back to 6Vpos. grd. The "F"ield is varied by the resistor switch in the dash. A short jumper wire runs from the GEN terminal of the cut out to the "A"rmature post. hope this helps. -Wes

Quick test. Take the fan belt off. Connect wires to cutout, battery, and generator. If the generator motors the cutout is backwards.
