I have family member who has a belly mower that was with the wd45 he bought. He wants 2 sell mower. I don't have any details on it. So with that little information can anyone make a guess at a low to hi price range I could b looking at. The owner hasn't given me a number yet.
Thank you.

WDrunner,
Maybe $300 as the high? $100 as the low?? Depends on type and condition too. Dont see them on WD style tractors as often as the c's and ca's. get the pulleys and belts and any brackets.
Just my 2 cents.
Regards,
Chris

I clicked onto this thread since I - even though we sold the WD and WD45 for the life of the unit - I cannot recall a belly mower for a WD45.  I was hoping to see pictures.
Also, I am sure Woods along with others would have mounting brackets for a mower.
I strongly agree with Sugarmaker that be certain you get all the mounting brackets.  An original manual would be most helpful to be certain ALL of the MOUNTING brackets are included.
If you have pictures would LOVE to see them
Thanks in advance
Good Luck!

The mower is made by Arts Way.
Model A372.
Arts way has manual download.
I don't think it will work for what I want. I need a brush type cutter. This appears 2 b a yard finish type mower.
Pictures I took are too large to up load. I need to resize them, but can't right now. No price yet, but putting on n taking off looks 2 b laborous.

The mounting brackets were either a WD45 kit or were fabbed for the WD45 that this mower is coming off of. Its tempting just to see the price as it may b worth having as a just in case tool.

Woods L306 had a Wd mounting kit.you could still get parts from woods but theyll be expensive. The woods dealer in grand forks had a WD with a L306 mounted on it when I bought mine that was arou d 96 or 97.

A friend had an L-306 mounted on a WD-45.  As I recall, the belt came around to the back and was driven by a large pulley mounted on the PTO driveshaft.  The pulley was so big you had to remove the step that's on the back (below the rockshaft).  I don't think I'd care for that.  And, IIRC, the way it mounted, you couldn't take out your wheel track on the right side.

I worked on a D17 Series III last week with an L 306 woods on it. Power shouldn't have been an issue.

Is the family member near by?  Can you drive it to his location?  Discus the price before you go.  You'd have help putting it on and you could make sure it works.  Check out the spindles for bearing noise.  You'd also get help figuring out how the belt goes on.  I used to on occasion use my three point finish mower for weeds.  Depending on what you want to cut, and if you can lift it high enough.

WF owner, thanks for the offer to resize. I just need a bit of time. Time is a premium at the moment.
I wound up making a deal on the belly mower. I didn't want to pass as others have said it cac b tough finding stuff for these tractors.
I do need to check spindle bearings but at least grease zerks are wet.
Yes to one poster who said that it has the big pulley for PTO that requires the rear step removed.
An internet search found a link to the owner's manual that I downloaded and is the correct one.
All is good up to this point.
Pictures coming sometime.
Thanks to all.
