Came off the field today and my 7000 would not stop when I pushed the fuel shut off. The cable is good seems the governor or fuel linkage in the pump must need an overhaul?

Its been acting strange the last few days revving up by itself when at idle, but this is new, and it would not shut down.

Make sure the shut off lever on the pump moves free. Take off the top cover and make sure the little cam is still in place.

Have saw them do that when running low on fuel (getting air). Also if metering valve gets worn or some one polished it.   MACK
