What's an American tractor? We had a new 1974 8600 Ford. As I remember it (or at least part of it) was built in England and the final assembly was in Detroit. CNH is owned by Fiat and if you add all the brands Fiat owns around the world I believe they sell more tractors than any other company. Even John Deere imports their smaller tractors from Yanmar I think. LOL!

Could have been the CNH and Kubota dealers wanted to let you look around a bit to let you see what they have. The JD dealer hit you like a used car salesman. I actually do not like the pushy sales people like that. If I want you to come out and talk while I look at a possible new/used tractor I will come inside and get you.

Not saying the guy was pushy, but I prefer for sales people to leave me alone when I'm looking at vehicles, tractors, equipment, ect. If I have a question, I'll look for you then. The local building supply is like that. There are several departments that have associates that ALWAYS throw themselves on you. I know they see me there several times a week and know I do not need help. But EVERY TIME I walk into plumbing he is stuck in my butt. I do not like that approach.

Sorry for the rant... I'd almost buy any brand new if the dealer was local.
