Tom, that tractor is worthless, it's only got one set of externals... should have had double outlets.... Wink

That brings up a question I had....Those hydraulics...so as you say there could be two sets of externals....two ports left of seat, two ports right of seat, then there is the ports on the right side under the bracket..

How do all these function in relation to each other?

Sure you can dream. The guy that's advertising it is dreaming. It's very nice, but worth about half what he is asking (Maybe?).

Could a guy with $20,000 go out to a dealer, and buy a brand new 50hp tractor of domestic origin, proven ability, and durability?

Tom, The port your looking at under the right side is for electrical hookup which was standard.  Under the fuel tank on the right side is a cut off switch to prevent battery drainage that he added.
 It sure is pretty.

"65 AC D17 Series IV Factory LP, 3200 Actual Hrs., NEW16.9x28 GY's & 6.50x16 Fronts, Factory Power Steering, Factory 3 Pt., Front Weights. "COMPLETE MECHANICAL & PAINT RESTORATION, LOW PRODUCTION--WOW!"
AS Dave points out what can you buy for 20,000 that is domestic... If what the man says is true that he went through it from end to end and repaired/replaced all that was worn, so it will be good for 20 more years to come, then it would be worth that much... but there is so much that has NA after the part numbers that this tractor will not have parts available in 30 years or less....  Where as the new tractor may have parts on the shelf for it... unless the manufacturers consider the stuff throw away when used up.
Somebody was saying when an engine goes bad in some of the new tractors, they are not rebuilt, but they will sell a new engine complete to drop in. Sign of the times of the throw away generation.

That tractor is at C.A. Tesch Equipment I have bought tractors from Chuck his driver delivers them to me, always been treated good by Chuck. He says it has been completely rebuilt then you can bet your ass it has been. It's not a old WF or a CA. On a advertised Sullivan or Mecum auction my bet is it would bring that. It would be 1000 times better than a new Kubota that size that would cost 40,000.00 and be worth 5k after you got it home!! If it's out of your price range then don't bitch someone will buy it.

Beautiful restoration...that’s for a collector not for someone that wants to actually put it to work. If it has been gone through with new parts he easily has 10k in it.
