On my WD, the rod that goes from the pedal to the clutch arm looks like it had an 1.5” extension welded in the middle. I’m concerned that this leaves the clutch less than fully engaged when the pedal is at its full aft operating position. I haven’t felt any signs of slippage, but I’d hate to find out the clutch is wearing prematurely due to less than full pressure.

Can anyone measure the length of a proper rod? Mine measures roughly 23.5” center to center.

The rod length isn't what you should be concerned about. FREE PLAY is what needs to be right. If you don't have at least an inch of freeplay, it's probably too long.

Someone like me did it.  I always had a problem reaching the pedal because of my short legs.  That wouldn't have been enough of an extension for me, but it was apparently all that someone needed.  On my D14 it has about 3 to 4 inches added.  That is adequate for me!

 I don't see how adding to the rod on a WD would do anything for a short leg, unless you move the pivot point of the pedal back the same amount.

If the pedal return stop is cut shorter, the pedal can return nearer the foot rest. Maybe even use the rest as a stop.
