Blown seal in the powershift clutch pack? You can take off the powershift valve body and use a rubber tipped air nozzle to pressureize each individual clutch pack and see what happens. Does it do the same thing no matter what gear you're in? Hurst

First....black belly or brown belly ??? Next, get a 300 psi gauge installed in the side of the PowerShift valve and measure the regulating pressure....needs to be 210-230 psi with clutch pedal up( in Park) and engine half throttle or more.

Brown belly, did put gauge on and had about 40lbs. took pressure line aff at tee right before going into power dictory and put gauge on there with valve on line and ran right into hydraulic fill and proceeded to screw valve in went up to 300lbs and Quit.

Sounds like a valve issue....broken spring, stuck pressure regulator, maybe a blown gasket, etc. Only so much one can do in chassis without taking the valve off and tearing it apart. There are several parts to the valve internally, and if you're going to do surgery yourself, you'd better pay close attention to how each and every part comes out or you'll be in worse trouble afterwards.

I'm not there looking at it, but I think you could disconnect both of those steel lines that are near the top and "cap" the nipples at the valve and see what happens. This would be removing the PTO clutch AND PTO brake from the valve circuitry. If no change, then the valve must have issues as the pressure it maintained by the valve.

Hey Alan,
I have a service manual for the 7000, so if you need me to fax the pages for the valve body, just let me know. I'll need your serial number because there was a serial number break within the maroon belly if I remmeber correctly. Just shoot me a PM if you need this.
