Here are some pictures of a recent acquisition out of California. Does anyone recognize the cultivator? Is it an Oxnard? What about the 3-point hitch? My father had one just like it on a WD we had in the 1950s. Was it also made by Oxnard? Please enjoy the pictures. uploads/141/100_0906_1.JPG

Oxnard cultivator but not a Oxnard tractor. Oxnard moved the seat and steering on the ones they did. I am not sure but I think they jacked up the fenders too.
Does anyone have pictures of the Oxnard tractor from the GOTO?
Durst I think owned it.

Very neat find. As a matter of fact, I was just looking at that manual.
That is also the oxnard depth adjustment setup on the back.
I have the front part of that setup, but I need the rear bracket and top adjusting wheel. If you find another setup like that that you will part with, let me know. Michael

Does anyone have an extra copy of the deep tillage manual that they would sell? I also would be happy to buy a copy. Thanks.

Farrell, does your high clearance `45 have the 9 bolt wheels as shown in the parts book, with the 9 to eight bolt adapters at the rear axle? How tall are the front axle spindles compared to a regular WD? That is a great find! What are your future plans for the tractor? Pleae keep us posted.

I have a single front wheel WD with the same cultivator setup. I have the rear scratchers as well....this is the only other ones that I have seen. I also have all the manuals for the veggie cultivators, they came with the tractor.

Yes, it has the eight to nine hole adaptors. The wheel hubs have nine holes and the inside have the standard eight holes. Kind of a neat setup.

Eldon, Does your WD have the spoked cast single front wheel or the solid center wheel?

After looking at Calvin's pictures, I am really wondering now. His is a WD45 and mine is a WD. The cultivator looks the same but the rear wheels, seat platform and steering are different. Were there changes made for the WD45 by Oxnard? Thanks.

Maybe the centered and raised operators platform was an option or a deluxe model. Farrell, your high crop looks like a West Allis product because those back wheels are in the parts book. The WD-45 may have left West Allis as a normal tractor and then converted at the Oxnard plant to a customers specs.

I think Calvin covers it. The WD is what a AC dealer would put together. The true Oxnard tractor got the makeover at the Oxnard facility and then shipped back to the dealer. The AC version was probably available all around the country, but the Oxnard was probably limited to California because of freight. Seeing one like Farrell's turn up in North Carolina or elsewhere east wouldn't be a surprise at all.
I am pretty sure someone years ago posted a Oxnard WD that was really rough. Missing the cultivators but had all the platform mods. Ben Jewison maybe?
