In those days, dealers normally had 20% or so to work with off of list price. |

Would it be safe to say a person back then could buy an Allis Chalmers 175 or 185 for $2500 to $3000 off list price ? I would that 1983 model MF 275 for $15000 ? That competitive price back then still holds true today, at least a few years when I was in sales.

Thanks for sharing that information. Today those prices look reasonable, but you got remember incomes and pay per hour was a lot less then. But I do think farming back then you could pay for a tractor a lot quicker farming a lot less acres then than you can today.
