Does a D-17 Series III drawbar interchange with a WD45 drawbar?  My Series III drawbar is missing the top "strap".  I can get a WD45 drawbar shipped to my house for $100.

I've tried looking at the pictures of both, but I can't really tell for sure.  It looks like the parts that matter will all match up to me.

The D-17 drawbar is one single flat piece fron the snap-coupler to the hitch hole.
The WD-45 drawbar is made up of two pieces with the actual hitch part being bolted to the piece with the eye.
The assembled two piece WD-45 drawbar appears to be about the same length as the one piece D-17 dawbar.
It looks to me as tho it would work but not be like original.

I purchased a WD drawbar to put into a D17 to replace a snapped drawbar it bolted into the yoke fine.  I'm assuming from Brian's comment it was a WD45.  It was the same length, but the cross section is both thinner and narrower then the d17 bar. It was loose but worked since at the time we had no other options.  going the other direction you could have a problem with the bigger cross section (ie. the strap might need spacers at the bolts but not sure) but I would think it could be made to work.

Thanks for the help.  So, it looks like I at least have an option.  I wish I could just buy the strap for my current drawbar.  Here is the actual piece I was considering, btw:
