My lift arms only go up under a load, when the tractor is shut off they'll eventually lower. It doesn't matter the position of the traction booster or lift/lower level, same effect.
My draw bar spring appears to be compressed an inch or more... I've tried heat and penetrating oil and brute Force and I can't get the spring to budge. Any thoughts? Thanks! ![]() Edited by sstevens1985 - 06 Jan 2019 at 4:24pm |

Make sure that the draw bar spring adjusting linkage is adjusted properly, that determines the amount of pull of draw bar needs to actavate the traction boost system.

Any specs for the proper adjustment of the linkage for the traction booster?

The owners manual tells how to adjust the traction booster system. If you do not have the owners manual get one as it will tell you how to maintane your tractor.

The LIFT/LOWER lever has to be locked in the lower window for the TBoost to be able to lower on its own. If the lower window or lever pin are worn out, that could be your problem. That LIFT/LOWER lever has to be horizontal when using the TBoost system. The snap-coupler coil spring yields under a pull and the linkage triggers the hydraulic pump to lift the arms. If the LIFT/LOWER lever linkage isn't adjusted right or working right, the plow can't go back down on its own. Is your tractor new enough to have the drop speed adjustment screw under the sediment bowl?? Tighten it up if you do. Your pull spring adjustment isn't the problem. Your lowering linkage probably is.
