Closest thing TSC has to PO1 is Kubota paint. The A-C paint is mot a match for PO1 or 2 maybe that late color?

So if I were to buy paint from them I should get the Kubota because, that is the closest they have. Also who should I talk to about decals?

So you're saying their AC paint doesn't actually match any AC paint. Good enough for a quicky cheap paint job on a working tractor but not something you put time and effort in.

I have had good results with VanSickel paint and hardner in final coat. It is corporate ornage but is available in PO1 and PO2. My tractors are sheded but have been painted for several years.

What tractor are you painting, If it's your B it should be Persian # 1 I have had luck with PPGG's "shop line variety" our Dust and son sells it here and I use the Acrylic urethane one step with hardener. I painted a d14 that sits out a BUNCH about six years ago, it is still glossy and looks great. I think it runs about 70 a gallon, so its a little over double what farm store enamel is, but I like it for me. I used some Van Sickle once with luck too- I would now just rather use the PPG. Just my preference. I think all these tractors pictured above look amazing though. Nice work you guys!

I bought a under hood starter fuel tank from Larry Swenson at Hutchinson a few years ago. It had a square piece of straping still on one of the three bolts to keep it away from the under side of the hood. This piece of cloth has a great sample of PO1 paint. Van Sickle offers all 3 AC oranges as does AGCO, non are as close as a custom order PO1-CML4019-0 Persian Orange from Van Sickle. It is a spot on match to the paint on this cloth sample. It has that brownish or burnt look. It comes with a fan spray tip. Best of all, when dry, it still has that wet shinny look. Van Sickle CML4019-0 Persian Orange.

I used the restoration series on My WD 45 several years ago. Use the thiner and harderner that go with it . it has held up well and still looks good. I've used it befor with the same results. The tractor my Nephew painted with it 10 years ago still looks good. the niceest thing about it you can get the restoration series in a spray can. I used it for touch on hardware and missed small pices after I assembled and it matched nicely.

Fender extensions and battery boxes on our 22o were painted with Valspar restoration grade A-C paint. It is actually more red than shows up in the picture. Definitely not PO1and redder than the PO2 220, maybe corporate? I don't know. It's just there to keep things from rusting until we repaint the entire unit. WD in background is wearing Ditzler 60080, what most consider proper shade PO1

I was not happy with the TSC paints even though I liked the price. When Rural King came to town I tried their paint which I liked better as far as applying and fade. It also fades fast if out in the weather all the time like my tractors are. I have never been satisfied with color match and is why I buy New Holland yellow and mix into the Allis Chalmers Orange to get my desired shade of orange. I started buying Eastwoods diamond clear for wheels to use as a top coat. That helps with the fade and is resistant to scratches and fuel. I called Eastwood's paint tec people and they said they had done tests over enamel and had good results. The fellow said they would not advertise using it over enamel because if it was coated to heavy it would dissolve the enamel. I found this to be true. It is like said on Hee Haw. It hurts when I do that! Then don't do that!  That's the skinny from this side of the fence. My moto is if you aint tried it then how do you know it won't work.

Does anybody have the official factory paint manufacturers numbers ? I mean something that actually says how many drops of this and that to create the 'PO1' that's in the can?
Frankly my eyes ain't what they used to be, so being 'close' is good enough for me.

Good Motto....thats solid advice
As Far as paint, I shoot Dupont Nason, which I like. Seems to lay down good and is pretty forgiving to mess-ups.
I painted a lawnmower traile with the Valspar paint from TSC, so far so good, but I didnt care on that....just needed something to keep it from rusting

I have used both. It all depends on what you are doing with your tractors. Mine are both working but I wanted them to look good. If I do another one I will go to an auto paint store, suck it up and buy better. Farm store paints are functional as a protecter I think but sometimes the cheapest part of a paint job is indeed the paint.
