Local pulls and rules??

I noticed we had a couple threads that touched on this a bit, but I was wondering how some of you  had fared with the rules and things of your local pulls. I have one real close to me each year that is supposed to be separated by plow class, unfortunetely the organizers seem to think a b was a full two plow tractor and a straight wd is a 3-4 class, so it gets to run with 450 farmalls and 720 Jd according to them. I really wish we would go to a weigh in formula and see what happens. I have mentioned it but the JD and Farmall guys won't have it. All the other brand folk MM, AC, MH,etc would love it. How does your respective organizers handle things, I am curious. Love my AC's as I do we just can't seem to put a good showing at the pulls the way they are now and it goes the same for many of my neighbors and friends who run Allis in these type of pulls. Thoughts????

One thing we've decided is if there are no rules, no one can cheat.  For farmstock around here it's 3000 rpm, 20.8 non cut tires, and a speed limit if its a speed limit class.  These rules are easy to monitor.  It's the same result if we had lots of rules:  The guy that spends the most money wins, with the exception of the MPH classes.  I assume you're talking about antique classes but just my 2 cents. 

Are club runs 3 classes a b and c a is first gear only cant pull below shiping weight stock rpms and tire size is limited for each weight 16" drawbar
B division is 10% over rpm 18"drawbar 3mph and up to a 16.9 38 for any weight no cuts in either a or b
And c div 20% over rpm 10 mph and 18.4 38 20 drawbar
So basically we have a class for anyone to be competitive

Allisman I know how you feel. I did find an even better solution this past year _ Its called a UC!! they really don't know what to think yet. I think they did not expect much, but  they saw what hapenns when the weight was evened out.  we will see how it works again this year. The UC has the weight that the wd and forty fives don't. Power is never an issue with A-C so no worries there. I have two U's this year to take and the UC . Should be fun. The UC is a few hundred heavier than the U, due to the final drives and there is also a plate of metal between the transmission and rear end on the uc that weighs about a hundred also. The dyno also usually shuts the other colors up I have found too!!!  

Most places have Pre 1957 or 1959 rules in place. Nothing after that year can pull.
