an eight foot bed from a 2005 Ford P/U would weigh? I'm figuring about 750

I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27 |

Thats probably MAX.... more like 500 pounds... I took a 6 ft bed off a 2006 FORD... Took the 6 floor bolts out and you could "almost" pick up one end by yourself... I parked under open rafters in the garage and put a 1/2 ton comealong on the left front tie down and the right rear tie down and cranked it up a foot to roll the truck out from under... put a 1/4 inch rope on the other two corners to rafters to BALANCE so it didnt tip too much.... mine was access to the gas tank pump....... then reinstall bed.

Well under 500 is my guess. I’ve pulled a few with one guy on each side.

Ask your local body shop. Bet they can tell you within a few pounds. Den

500 maybe...less if the crossrails are missing due to rust...... I flip them upside down with forklift(A-C !) and 2 helpers to put onto pickup for transporting when sold. 5' forks make it easy to remove and install. Always 'interesting' how the wind 'magically' appears when moving the boxes.... so be careful ! probably moved 100+ in past 10 years. Jay

My son, his wife and daughter and I picked up my 1975 Ford 8' bed and set it on so I don't think it was 500 lbs.
