As some of you may remember sometime back Steve ILL and we’re each tearing down mobile homes.
I completed mine yesterday. I dropped the project for a while but got back to it a few weekends ago. Yesterday morning all that was left was the frame, axles and piers. I cut the frame up and loaded it on my flatbed trailer then dug up all the concrete piers. Found out this morning that the scrap yard is open Sundays through December. I got it hauled off for good. Happy day here. |

Feels good to get a project completed! Hope you got a good price for the metal and have a bit more Christmas money.

Mine was 65 ft long and had 3 axles... I cut it up and made 3 trailers 15 ft long and 7 ft wide. Put one axle on each. Took the 2 x 6 studs ( over 100) , painted with sealer, and installed a floor onto each.. We took the 2 x 3 interior wall studs and build walls for the 3 trailers.. Turned them into 3 portable Duck Hunting Blinds.. Bought plywood for the sides, and used the original trailer galvanized steel sheet roof for the Duck Blind roof... Very economical project, but very time consuming. Got the house trailer demode last april and spent about 30 days on each Duck Trailer.......... Son has them IN USE NOW !

Hubert I got $250 for the siding and 250 for the frame. Kept some lumber and burned what I didn’t want. Gonna put a small building there that is half Halmark ornament storage and half reloading room. |
