Hey guys, i got bored today and started thinking (this cant be good)  and im wonderin if a Allis diesel out of a F2 gleaner would go in a 1980s CJ7 Jeep?????   i can find them for about 1500 - 3000 bucks with a manual trans depending on condition. and my great uncles has a good running F2 he offed to me for a couple hundred bucks awhile ago so i started puttin 2 and 2 together.


Think it would fit or do you think id be to heavy??

there was a local guy that put several engines out of ford 5000 diesel tractors in F250 Ford trucks in the late 70s and earley 80s thay worked good. with a toruch and welder you can do any thing.

I agree - won't fit and won't work and cost too much- but it can be done. If you want, I say do it.

well i know id be hard but i was thinking for a shop project next winter as the diesel mechanics class im in during the second semester you have a free shop day everyday and were always looking for projects and i just thought thatd be cool to do
