I’ve learned in the last 8 months that the coffee pot and cups got to be washed spotless every day. I was doing it wrong for the previous 50 Year’s.

Years ago there lived a married couple near me that the husband chewed tobacco and the wife saved his cuds to dry and smoke in her pipe! My dad told me this story and I doubted it until a friend was at their farm and saw the cuds drying on a board! Now that was recycling!

Klinemar I used to live out where we locals call Booger county. I went over to the neighbors house to drink a little. Y’all should like this but the neighbors name was Hubert. Hubert and I spent the day on their porch in the shade. In the afternoon his wife wanted us to help with some chores. Hubert said we were busy and we kept drinking. Soon an arguement ensued and she said she was leaving and started walking down the driveway. Hubert stood up dropped his drawers and said “ look at what you’re leaving behind”. She hiked up her skirt and said yes but look what I’m taking with me. |

Got 2 plastic mugs I got at trade show years back - like them as are double wall and keep things hot and i can microwave cup and contents to reheat . About once a month I fil lwith water and top off with some bleach - let set overnight and rinse in the AM when again filled with coffee .
Problem is they are not coming real clean looking anymore - haven't found any at any of the trade shows that are the same size or style - like them as they have handle big enough to grab and stand well on desk also . |

Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.

My cup was originally white inside, now tea colored and will not wash off. Use that cup every day no complaints. Is also 160z, get around five full cups from a 10 cup pot.

I likes to run them thru the dishwasher to knock a few of the barnicals off, darn it barnicals is spelled wrong. Guess you all can guess I don't live by the coast. Boys at church bought a new coffee pot a couple of months ago. You gotta use the cup to push on the valve to gets some go juice. Its darn near impossible with a Styrofoam cup. Old gal says "your not taking that cup to church looking like that". You guys know the drill. Guess I'm gonna have to use one of these recipes.

I usually save that one for when somebody leaves the pot on overnight and it burns to a crisp. Then it takes half a cup of salt and half a pot of ice! David from jax

It sounds like you're looking for a recipe or solution to modify your Styrofoam cup so you can use it to push on the valve of your new coffee pot at church. While I'm not sure of the specific recipes you're referring to, I can suggest a few possible solutions for your situation. Use a disposable plastic cup: Instead of using a Styrofoam cup, you could try using a disposable plastic cup. Plastic cups are more rigid and should provide better leverage for pushing on the valve of the coffee pot. Reinforce the Styrofoam cup: If you prefer to use a Styrofoam cup, you can reinforce it by wrapping a rubber band tightly around the lower half of the cup. The rubber band will add rigidity to the cup and make it easier to apply pressure to the valve. Create a makeshift handle: You can attach a small stick or dowel to the Styrofoam cup to create a makeshift handle. Simply poke a hole in the side of the cup near the bottom, insert the stick, and secure it in place with tape or glue. This will give you a better grip and make it easier to push on the valve. Remember to be careful when modifying any objects and ensure they are safe to use. Additionally, always follow any guidelines or rules set by your church when it comes to using their equipment. |

Actually, bleach is the worst thing you can use, it takes the glaze off your cup and stains it quicker. When I was in hotels as a chef, I had to battle the restaurant managers over this practice.
