I have had a WC engine block stuck in the corner that I thought was a really good block, as no freeze crack, good crank, sleeves. I have been sweeping around it for several years.Today I decided to take the crank out to check it out really good to use in my WF, the rear main bolt holes are both cracked and on one side a chunck ready to fall out. Goes to show, you never know until you look them over with a magnifying glass. Now it looks like I am searching for another 37 year block. I do have a good WD45 block I would trade for one. Dave

Another dissapointment is when you spend $45,000.00 on a racing engine and the engine builder tells you it comes with no warranty and no guarantee that it will even run and it may even blow up as soon as you start it.

Dave, I have a good early WC engine block with the head studs still in it,I think, along with the sleeves. There are no cracks between the sleeves,in the lower webbing or on the side of the engine. I actually have two,so come and get one.  Rick

Getting married comes with no warranty and it will cost you many times the cost of a racing engine whether it goes boom or runs for life.

I can understand. I have my dad's 37 WC that he bought new and then he died in 1941 when I was 9 months old. I was gonna restore it but the block had a patch cracked out of the side. I was talking to my brother a year ago and found that it wasn't the original engine anyway because our cousin started it and ran it with no antifreeze in it and burnt the motor up. So I guess that frees me up to using another block anyway.
You don't really have to be smart if you know who is!

Yes, and that's why it's a dissapointment.

That's why you have to hide a little of what you have.

That's called marriage insurance.

I've never been known to stir the pot, but what does this have to do with Allis Farm Equipment. ;)

From what I've seen, it'd be most accurate to say that it was typical of Jeff's behaviour to do so.

His answer SHOULD have been "Nothing like MY OTHER POSTS in ANY section."

David- that sounds like a really strange failure.  Any thoughts on what would have caused it to get damaged that way?
